Biblical counseling is a wholistic approach to soul-care that is informed, bound and shaped by the Scriptures as the authoritative Word of God. Biblical counselors seek to apply God’s truth to every area of life in all of the struggles that are brought on by living in a fallen world. This is accomplished by compassionately pointing clients to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, focusing on changing desires to what pleases the Lord and incorporating practical instruction on how to live in a way that glorifies God in every circumstance.
